I have been so shocked and worried about the big earthquake in New Zealand. I extend my heartfelt condolences to all the victims there.
I was supposed to write about Christchurch in my article after the next as I went there in January but I don't feel like writing about that place right now thinking about the tragedy.
Thus, today I would like to tell about whale watching in Australia last August.
My students and I took a boat ride from Gold Coast to go and see the whales. It was the best season for whale watching and we were able to see some big jumps that the whales made.
Also, we saw many dolphins following our boat. Dolphins are friendlier than whales. So even if people go whale watching, it is possible they cannot see whales and just see dolphins. We were lucky enough to see several whales. I was not able to take a good photo of whales jumping, so the photo above was taken by a photographer of a tour company.
During the boat ride, we were able to see gorgeous houses of celebrities around the coast. The sky was beautiful and the sea was beautiful too.
In the southern hemisphere, the seasons are opposite from Japan. We went there in August, so it was a little chilly there. Also, there we can see different nature and culture. Going abroad is a lot of fun and if you can speak English well, you can experience a lot of things and communicate with local people in that country. Most of my students study English at Hata English School to improve their English and to speak English in foreign countries.
Why don't you study English with me and go abroad with me?
